The Cultural, Anthropological, Social and Economic Impact (CASE) Working Group provides insights and guidance on the dimensions of the emerging infectious disease epidemics that impacts on the socio-cultural, socio-economic and socio-ethical lives of African populations. Its objectives are to study African cultural practices and management of EIDs, Community engagement during emerging infectious diseases management, Determinants and impact of EIDs in Africa, Ethics and the management of EIDs in Africa, and Policy approaches and intervention strategies to for local EID responses
